CRFI Weight Scale
BioControl’s animal weighing system is a part of the Controlling and Recording Feed Intake (CRFI) environment. By placing the weight scale at the concentrate feeding station, water unit or in other set-up, animals are identified by neck transponders or ear tags, and the animal’s actual live weight is recorded.
Keeping track of the animal’s weight throughout life is essential for research purposes or advanced management in beef or milk production. The CRFI system has alarm settings that can be used for monitoring weight loss in animals with health issues, or for animals gaining too much weight over a given time period.
